Frank Grindrod of Earthwork Programs will present on the importance of fostering a relationship with the Earth through education in traditional skills and cultural mentoring through native teachings for greater sustainability and resiliency.
Frank will share the importance of being “unplugged”, how to create a balance in one’s life, and offer the antidote for nature deficit disorder and he will share a story of how a recent crisis became an example of the power of community.
BIO: Frank Grindrod is the Director and Owner of Earthwork Programs
Since 1999, Frank Grindrod, Wilderness Guide and Instructor and Founder of Earthwork Programs, has been dedicated to teaching earth skills such as nature awareness, tracking, wilderness living skills and earth philosophy. He is a graduate of Greenfield Community College’s nationally-recognized Outdoor Leadership Program. Frank continues his education through studies with well known instructors including Tom Brown, Jon Young, Paul Rezendes and others. He is a trained Wilderness First Responder.
Frank is currently working as the lead facilitator of Wilderness Education Programs and the Nurtured Heart Approach and is a certified facilitator for the Nurtured Heart Approach. He has studied with many nationally recognized trainers, including Gabrielli Lachiara, LSW, Lisa Bravo, Tom Grove and Howard Glasser, MA and is recognized as an advanced trainer and coach with Energy Parenting and Howard Glasser’s, The Inner Wealth Initiative and the Children’s Success Foundation.
Frank provides consulting services throughout New England for camps, museums, conferences, schools and environmental education centers .
