Come to Green Night this coming Wednesday, February 12 starting with networking at 5:00 pm at the Clarion Hotel, Northampton.

This month we’ll learn about three area campuses that are powerful catalysts for building a sustainability mindset.  Three dynamic presenters will share with us how our  local higher ed campuses are developing and nurturing resiliency within and beyond their campus boundaries through education, activities and strategic approaches:

Montserrat Archbald, Chair of the Greenfield Community College Green Campus Committee Montserrat will share an overview of campus greening, including curriculum, energy conservation, and student clubs;

Kate Maiolatesi, Chair, Sustainability Studies Program, Holyoke Community College.  Kate will describe sustainability programming under the umbrella of Sustainability Studies, including degrees in Sustainability Studies, Sustainable Agriculture, Clean Energy and Green Building Practices.

 The Western Mass. Green Consortium’s (WMGC) monthly Green Night information and networking event begins with networking at 5:00 pm followed by announcements at 5:30 pm (if you have sustainability-related information or events to share, this is your moment).  The campus sustainability presentation begins at 5:55 pm with Q& A at 6:40 pm.  At 7:00 pm those who want to stay move down the hall to the pub for eats and drinks and more networking.  We thank the Clarion for their free hosting of Green Night by patronizing their pub!
