NEXT GREEN NIGHT: “Green Drinks networking this Wednesday May 9th 5:30-7:30 (no presentations this month) hope to see you then!”

Every 2nd Wednesday, The Western Mass Green Consortium brings people together in a warm, social setting with educational presentations and professional networking in the Northampton Brewery’s sunroom.

At 4:00 PM  We start with “Inspirational News,” “Technology Minute,” “Member Presentations,” networking and friendly conversations on issues of sustainability in our community.

At 6:00 PM Green Drinks.  This offers more more networking opportunities, local brew, and good company in the Northampton Brewery’s inviting bar/lounge area.

April 13th 2011:
Financing deep energy retrofits.

The focus was on appropriate accounting approaches, innovative financing mechanisms, under-utilzed existing financing tools, and the roles of banks and local governments.
Presenter: Ben Weil holds a PhD in Environmental Studies from the University of California-Santa Cruz. He has worked as a consultant, building analyst, and retrofit installer in energy efficiency and renewable energy policy and engineering. He is Extension Assistant Professor of Building Energy in the Building and Construction Technology program at the Univ. of Massachusetts, Amherst.
