Ben Weil is Extension Assistant Professor of Building Science at UMass Amherst, where he teaches courses on sustainability and the built environment and energy efficient buildings. His prior experience is as an air sealer, energy auditor, and energy analyst. Affiliated with the UMass Clean Energy Extension, he provides consulting engineering and policy expertise to Massachusetts communities.
“I have been participating with WMGC, attending Green Nights and charettes for over a decade. As a beginning energy auditor I enjoyed the networking and learning from experts and peers, and recently I have benefited so much from the feedback I get from the community when I share my own ideas or when I learn of new ideas that I can take on. I believe that this tight-knit community is an important part of what it will take to shift our larger community toward a future of shared prosperity free of carbon and other pollution.”
